Physical Therapy Ethics: Ethics for Precedented times

This 2.5 credit Ethics Course is designed for therapists wishing to satisfy the mandatory New Jersey Ethics requirement with an interactive problem-solving course based on current clinical examples. The course focuses on the challenges of contemporary practice. It builds on previous ethics knowledge. The course is designed to integrate the core values of our profession into everyday clinical interactions that have been challenged by COVID-19, rapid changes in service delivery and practice dynamics. The use of the core documents are the foundation of ethical decision making and are integrated into the decision making process used in the course and becomes part of the professional behaviors of the participants. This course requires active participation in problem solving. It is recommended that you only choose this course if you are willing to participate in group discussions. If you prefer a more passive learning environment there are other opportunities for on line courses that will satisfy the ethics education requirement.
